When drummer Mick Fleetwood and bassist John McVie founded Fleetwood Mac in the 1960s, it was a hard-edged blues band, far removed from the California pop sensation it would later become. But over the years, one constant in the band (aside from its rhythm section) was Fleetwood's collection of rangefinder and 35mm cameras.

"John McVie and I both got into taking photos," Fleetwood recalls, "and we have this lovely library of pictures. But about five or six years ago, I started making photographs as a sort of private project, all landscapes."

Fleetwood's impressionistic, large-scale prints have generated interest in the art world and among collectors. He says making pictures is a creative passion: "Like music, photography is a form of universal language that can communicate an array of messages and can be a very powerful tool."
