Canon EOS Rebel T2

Canon EOS Rebel T2

Price (MSRP): $190.00
TYPE: Film SLR

This consumer 35mm SLR offers both manual and automatic exposure options, including 7 programmed automatic modes. Among its notable features are 7-point autofocus, a 3fps drive mode, a built-in diopter, a multiple exposure mode, auto exposure bracketing, depth-of-field preview, and a large, illuminated status LCD. However, it doesn't provide a spot meter or interchangeable focusing screens, and its viewfinder uses a pentamirror instead of a pentaprism. The T2 helps photographers avoid common mistakes with a Safety Shutter-Release Lock that prevents the shutter from releasing if there's no film in the camera, and a camera shake warning that sounds when the shutter speed is slow enough to cause blur. There's a pop-up flash on the T2 to supplement its compatibility with Canon E-TTL II external units. The camera is also compatible with Canon's Battery Pack BP-220, which incorporates a vertical shutter release button.
