Olympus E-400

Olympus E-400

Price (MSRP): $1,200.00
Megapixel: 10
TYPE: Digital SLR

The world's smallest, lightest D-SLR, the Olympus E-400, is NOT coming to a store near you. Unveiled in September 2006, the Olympus E-400 was an instant hit among those visiting the company's Photokina booth. The camera is available exclusively in Europe -- but not in the U.S. or Asia -- and unlikely to cross the Atlantic in its present form. That's a pity, because we found it beautiful to behold, a pleasure to handle, and a delight to stuff in our jacket pocket. How small is the E-400? How about 5.1x3.6x2.1 inches and 13 ounces? For comparison, that's a half-inch thinner than Canon's EOS Digital Rebel XTi and 25 percent lighter.
