RECAP

Charleston is a fantastic place to capture the past, present, beaches & islands.

In this one weekend we collected great images of a Great War ship "the Yorktown". We photographed the sunset from the carrier. Then we were able to watch and take pictures of the fireworks off the carrier later. We also were set up to take pictures of surfers on Folly beach, a wedding couple just happened to be there and a fishermen. We took a ferry over to hike on Bull Island. They gave us a map…. but, don't let Steve Simon read it and take a GPS if you plan on following him. Yet you know what … we ended up in the best place and got some really great pictures! So I guess I would follow him again; he won't really steer you wrong. Tony Sweet was great to work with also .We learned a lot from both of them!

Travel with our mentors and try out all of the latest equipment from Nikon! Including world class digital SLRs, Nikkor lenses and the Coolpix line of Digital Cameras.

We were able to photograph from a harbor cruise; we went under the new bridge, saw dolphins, pelicans, and a new yacht to buy. We went to some great plantations to set the mood of Charleston's past. We were able to roam the grounds and take pictures of everything from flowers to bridges to farm animals until the sun set.

The weather this weekend could not have been better!

I must say the people on this trek were so much fun and so enjoyable to be with …I would take all of them with me again on a trek! So remember if you all get an email in the future wanting to meet up with you on another trek in another great city that is why! You just know how to have fun taking your pictures and learning from some great leaders!

I'll be back!
