Kevin T. Gilbert, President and Founder, Arkhaven Digital Asset Management, LLC----is an award winning photojournalist and businessman based in Annapolis, Maryland.

Kevin has spent most of the 80's and 90's photographing Washington's power elite; from the inside. As Chief Photographer for the Washington Times newspaper, he has won over 30 major photography awards from the White House News Photographers Association, where he has covered superpower summits, professional sports, national political campaigns, and the news of Washington and the nation. While at the Times, Kevin
directed a staff of 14 photographers, and transformed them into a digitally savvy news operation, using the latest and fastest hardware and software on the market.

In early 1998, Kevin left the Times to become the first contract photographer for Discovery Communications, Inc., owners and producers of the Discovery Channel, Animal Planet, The Learning Channel, BBC America, and the Travel Channel. From the jungles of Cambodia to the sides of erupting volcanoes in Montserrat, Kevin's images have been used in international promotion and publicity for some of Discovery's highest profile programming. Kevin has also led a team of Arkhaven Group LLC photographers for the last four years in photographing the Discovery Channel Eco Challenge expedition race. His team's efforts have led to the creation of Discovery Channel's single largest press effort in their 14-year history, and highest media placement ever for the corporation.

Kevin is also currently serving his fourth consecutive term as President and Chairman of the Executive Board of the White House News Photographers' Association (WHNPA), in Washington, DC. Kevin has taken the WHNPA from a small, unorganized money-losing group, to a half million dollar a year educational and professional organization. He has brought in major international sponsors, produced hard cover photo books, created a travelling exhibit of award winning photographs, and set up a high profile professional enrichment series for some of America's premier photojournalists. The WHNPA annual black tie dinner, now called The Eyes of History* Gala, attracts major media CEO's, government officials, celebrities, award winning photographers, and features the President of the United States as special honored guest.

Kevin is a frequent speaker and national lecturer at digital photography conferences and university's and provides consulting services to some of America's premier photographic companies. A graduate of Syracuse University with a B.S. in photojournalism, he is married and has four children that put up with his hectic and varied travel schedule.
