PopPhoto.com's Tip of the Week
(An exclusive for our newsletter subscribers)

Tripods help eliminate camera shake, but pressing the shutter button manually can undermine the stability and produce vibrations. If you don't have a remote release, use the self-timer. The 10-second delay setting is fine, but if your DSLR has a 2-second option, use that. It will raise the mirror and allow it to come to rest for a nanosecond before opening the shutter.

User Review: Pentax DA-Zoom 50-200mm f/4-5.6

A reader from Pleasanton, CA writes:

At only $250, with a zoom range like that, you would expect a glaring issue or two, but so far the only problem I've had is wanting to take wide angle shots when I have this zoom on the cam ;-). I would highly recommend this to current-gen pentax DSLR users who want a nice mid-zoom without paying out the nose. Read the complete review here.
