User Review: Canon PowerShot SD600

Peter from Europe writes:

More and more I leave my heavy DSLR-equipment at home and prefer this nice little Ixus 60 (as it is called in Europe). Image quality is really impressive, except in very difficult conditions where you would like to manually correct exposure and you again forgot how to do that: study that manual! In all other situations one can rely on the automatic programs: excellent images guaranteed. LCD-screen is large. I still use the optical viewfinder, out of habit I guess, and then battery seems to last forever. Read the complete review here.

PopPhoto.com's Tip of the Week
(An exclusive for our newsletter subscribers)

Domenic Piluso writes: When taking pictures outside the cold weather will cause condensation on your camera leads when entering a warm environment. To avoid this, take a plastic bag with you and just before you enter a warm environment fill the bag with cold air tying up the bag with your camera in it. This will allow the condensation to build up on the exterior of the bag and protecting the leads with in the camera to stay clean and rust free.
