Panasonic Lumix DMC-L1

Karl from London, Ontario reviews the Panasonic Lumix DMC-L1:

"I have been very impressed with this camera. Build quality is excellent and the camera has an old time "mid format" heft and feel to it. The lens is the best normal zoom money can buy. The aperture ring and shutter speed dial make switching to ap or sp modes easy and intuitive. Live view is a bonus, although best suited to tripod or non action photography. If you learned on a manual camera, and think metal bodies are better than plastic, this camera is for you."

Cameras do not require routine maintenance. There is no place to oil, and they never need professional cleaning unless they've been exposed to extremely dirty conditions. However, they can become inoperable if they are left unused for a very long period of time. Best way to keep a camera in tip-top condition is to use it at least once every three or four months. Remember to remove the batteries before returning to storage.
