The new firmware makes the company's 14-42mm and 40-150mm Digital Zuiko lenses fully compatible with Live View autofocus on the E-420 digital SLR.

March 27, 2008

Olympus has released a firmware update that makes two of its Digital Zuiko lenses fully compatible with the Imager autofocus mode when using live LCD viewing on the E-420 digital SLR. The two affected lenses are the Digital Zuiko 14-42mm and 40-150mm.

Owners of the lenses can update their firmware through the Olympus Master software that came with their SLR. Firmware update instructions are available on Olympus's Web site.
