Review: i brought the Tamron 70-200mm /f2.8 to use with my nikon D3, not knocking Tamron but within 2 days i returned it as it had around 2mm play on my camera body when mounted, the AF was hunting in full daylight and failed to lock on to anything at any rate of speed, the image quality was good but imo not a lens for sport which is what i mailnly shoot, so i decided to pay the extra and get the SIGMA 70-200mm /f2.8, the minute i pulled it out of the box i smiled as i did with my other sugma lens"s, the finish was excellent, the AF was ultra fast and i could"t even hear the motor, the tripod mount is a nice design with no fuss, the image quality was just as good as the tamron if not better,it has no movement on my D3 body, it tracks fast moving subjects with ease and every about it works,im really happy with this lens, it retails for $1500 Australian dollars, about $500 dollard more than the tamron 70-200mm /f2.8, imo every cent extra was well worth it, i love this lens and have no regrets with it what so ever.. go buy one today
